This weeks news!
We were all greeted with geld today in shul and celebrated Channukah in style with the wonderful voice of Chazzan Roland Brandman, and while we had a long service everyone sang along to some of the great Channukah tunes.
We had over 50 people join us today at our Channukah Shabbat Service.
Noam Youth kept the youth entertained where over 25 children packed the service with all things dreidels & donuts. They played games, did a Channukah quiz and learnt about the meaning of what Channukah is and how important the festival is.
This was all followed by a delicious Kiddush and lunch, and a great D’var Torah from Roland.
Our Bnei Mitzvah group were very well looked after by Jay Dor, who ran a fantastic session on what the Torah scrolls consist of, the importance of the service and different parts of the service, and how to dress the Torah. All the Bnei Mitzvah children were given adult activities to do which kept them engaged and very spirited during the service.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those members who have taken ill or are currently recovering from illness.
We look forward to celebrating Nate Finestones Barmitzvah on the 22nd December at Allum Hall with Rabbi Danny Newman.
