Future Growth Plans
At EBMC we offer a fully inclusive egalitarian service, whereby our ethos is based around future growth.
The vision and dream of Elstree & Borehamwood Masorti and its leadership is to provide the best that Masorti has to offer by creating a growing, warm and non-judgemental community without pre-determined stereotypes. We are all one, and all striving to do more in our Jewish way of life.
We are continually working hard to create and grow which will enable everyone to enhance themselves within the community both spirituality and physically and we are continuously pursuing further enlightenment in our lives, from set programmes for all ages such as weekly kids service to Bnei Mitzvah, NOAM Youth Meditation, Spiritual mindfulness and Hamakom, led by our Rabbi Danny Newman.
We are committed to emulating the following principles in line with a true expression of Masorti.
To cultivate a growing and diverse community of egalitarian and inclusive families.
To be Elstree & Borehamwood’s warmest and most welcoming Community and Synagogue.
To create a safe and spiritually nourishing space where children and teenagers can flourish.
To provide meditation and educational programmes which will inspire members and the local community to grow and feel passionate about their Judaism.
To support individuals’ families in the best way possible.
To organize exciting communal social events on festivals and throughout the year.
To encourage members to contribute and volunteer to help grow our community as we have been over the past 18 months.
As of June 2019 we are currently in talks with Edgware Masorti Synagogue in relation to a possible merger. Please see our shul statement here.
“We invite you to learn more about our community and our future plans.”
