Roland Brandman has been singing publicly as a hobby for some 25 years. He performed as an opera singer during his childhood, including solo performances for English National Opera, BBC Television and Cologne Opera House. In his mid-teens he became more involved in synagogue life and started leading services. He continued to do so for the Oxford Jewish Community whilst at the university reading for his degree in Classics.

Following a break from public singing in his twenties, he has in the last few years again become more involved in Jewish life, leading synagogue services and weddings for a number of communities, orthodox and Masorti.

By profession Roland is a solicitor, advising mainly on property investment and development transactions. His other interests include meditation, history, Spain and spending time with his family.  Roland will be assisting us with Friday night services and other exciting events and community services throughout the year.
